OAK PRISON
School transmutation; Level druid 4
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, DF
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one living creature
Duration 1 minute/level (D)
This spell transforms the target into a living tree or other sturdy Large plant appropriate to the environment wherein the spell is cast. The target is vaguely aware of its surroundings and exists in a dreamlike state for the duration, emerging afterwards with fleeting memories of the experience. Whlle in the form of a tree the target has an effective Dexterity and speed of 0. The target's saving throws are not affected, though it suffers a –2 penalty to all saves vs Druid spells. The target also gains a +10 natural armor bonus to AC (AC bonuses granted by armors made from natural materials remain, but AC bonuses granted by armors made from metal do not) and a hardness of 5. A tree is immune to critical hits. All clothing and gear carried or worn by the target changes with it. You can dismiss oak prison as a free action. The target appears to be a normal tree with a deformation in its bark resembling the target creature's face, though it radiates a fain aura of transmutaion magic.
